Need to learn how to support your fundraising staff, and not sure where to start?

This will result in donors having positive experiences without the Executive Director needing to commit significant time to fundraising operations.

You will review the context for charitable giving in Canada and consider what motivates donors to give by reflecting your own giving experiences, and what you may need to consider to improve giving experiences at your organization. You will learn about common fundraising strategies and who within the organization plays what role in fundraising. You will also assess your organization’s philanthropic culture, learn about the core components of a fundraising operation, and tangible ways to monitor progress of your fundraising staff .

"I was referred to Larissa when my institution was in the midst of transitioning into a more professional fundraising platform. In advance of her arrival, we discussed our needs in terms of prospect research, staff and board training, developing our case for support and acquiring new donor database software.

By the time of her departure, all of “our goals” had been accomplished, and I feel that we are now poised for success. Larissa even helped with our search for our new Director of Development, who has become a valued member of my team. Working with Larissa was a great learning experience and a pleasure."

- Dr. Peter M. Meehan, President, Corpus Christi College and Principal, St. Mark’s College, University of British Columbia
